December - Merry Christmas to all our wonderful friends!

Can you believe it's December already? It's time to reflect on another amazing year at Jamison Flowers and to tell you all about some of the exciting things we have in store for 2014!

If you've been into Jamison Flowers over the last month then you'll know we're crazy about Christmas! It is such a wonderful time of year, a time to celebrate with family and friends, a time to sing cheesy Christmas carols, wear funny red hats and be a just a little bit silly! On the 1st of December we broke out the hats, turned up the music and now we're doing our best to fill the Jamison centre with Christmas spirit!

The star of our Christmas show is our gorgeous tree from the Gundaroo Christmas tree farm. It has pride of place at the front of the shop and is covered with the wonderful decorations we're selling this year. It's so beautiful and has been stopping people, both young and old, in their tracks. And it smells delicious! There really is nothing quite as special and a real Christmas tree. Of course we have decorated the shop from top to bottom with red and green. There are ornaments of all shapes, sizes and colours, stars, trees, rocking horses, reindeers, bells - you name it we've got it! They make great presents, so make sure you come in and have a look, but be quick they're selling fast!

2013 has been a great year for Jamison Flowers, the business is building, our reputation for high quality flowers and service is growing, and we're learning more and more by the day. This year has seen some big changes. We've been working on our Facebook page which has connected us to more of our wonderful customers and given us a chance to show off all the great work we've been doing. We introduced our 'frequent flower' card which has been a fantastic success! We love giving away free flowers to our regular customers, a great reward for their support and continuing business. We're also enjoying our 'flowers for your birthday' competition. So far this year we've given away five birthday bunches and the competition is far from over. Make sure you've 'liked' our Facebook page for details about how you could win your own birthday flowers. And we've welcomed new staff members, which means the Jamison Flowers Christmas party is going to be bigger and better than ever - fun times!!

While we're on the subject of fun, we're still frantically busy creating wedding flowers for Canberra's most beautiful brides. It's been a huge wedding season and we've worked long hours after the shop has closed on bouquets, button holes, ceremony and receptions flowers. It really is such an honour to be part of a couple's wedding day. We've been involved in lots of different weddings and we've loved them all. The shop has been teeming with beautiful roses in a rainbow of colours. It's great to work with so many different brides who have their own style and ideas which help us create their unique wedding flowers. We'll get a short break soon as the wedding season makes way for Christmas day, but it'll heat up again with the weather in January!

As the end of the year rushes ever closer, we've been getting organised for a huge 2014. Would you believe we've already started ordering boxes for Valentine's Day? But there will be big changes at Jamison Flowers before then! We can't give away too much, let's just say we're going to start the year with a brand new look…..watch this space for more details soon!

Before we go it's time to announce the winner of our 'flowers for your birthday' competition for November. Congratulations to Louise Perkins who will receive a bunch of chrysanthemums, which symbolise perfection.

We wish you all a wonderful, happy and safe Christmas. We hope you all get a chance to have a break and celebrate with family and friends. If you're travelling make sure you stay safe and we look forward to another wonderful year in 2014. Thanks again for your support over the last year, it's been a blast!
